Haiti’s Heart is an incredibly dedicated group with a profound passion for serving the people of Haiti. As a non-profit organization committed to empowering self-reliance, Haiti’s Heart provides vital support in various ways. We offer financial assistance through our sponsorship program, education opportunities, and teaching trade skills to those who often face limited prospects and opportunities. In addition to these initiatives, we also allocate considerable time to humanitarian missions, reaching out to orphanages and villages across Haiti. Our team of dedicated volunteers works tirelessly to provide much-needed services to those in need. Haiti’s Heart remains steadfast in its mission to improve the lives of the Haitian people, offering hope, empowerment, and a brighter future. With a strong commitment to making a lasting impact, we continue to seek innovative ways to support and uplift the communities we serve. Haiti’s Heart is comprised of dedicated people who share a common goal—trying to alleviate some of the suffering in Haiti. Among the most effective tools we’ve found are financial assistance through educational sponsorships; teaching trade skills that open prospects and opportunities that otherwise would be closed; entrepreneurial mentoring; and outreach to orphanages with supplies, clothes, or other necessities. When political conditions allow, we take volunteers on humanitarian missions where we can make a difference in person. These trips may include bringing dental or vision care to orphanages; making necessary repairs to facilities there, i.e. plumbing or electrical repairs; delivering much-needed educational materials, or delivering personal care supplies.
Our profound respect and love for the culture arise from living there and engaging in numerous humanitarian missions, all aimed at alleviating the suffering we've witnessed firsthand. Haiti has endured significant hardships, including the impact of natural disasters, poverty, and political upheaval, which have left individuals, including children, without viable means of support. Amidst these circumstances, the Haitian people shine brightly with intelligence, optimism, and a steadfast hope for self-reliance. Our goal is to offer life-changing opportunities by fostering trusted connections within communities through the influence of education, service, and humanitarian efforts, ultimately empowering individuals toward self-sufficiency. By focusing on the inherent strengths of these communities, we can impart valuable independent skills that embody the timeless wisdom expressed in the saying: “Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime.” We encourage our supporters everywhere to embrace this captivating culture, contribute to our mission, and help us touch the hearts of the Haitian people, one by one.
